Thanks to our many talented and generous partners, Megan's Wings will assemble and deliver 250 Hope Bags to kids needing to spend time in the hospital this year!
A big thank you to Geodis, a contract logistics company in Jurupa Valley, Ca who awarded Megan's Wings a $5000 grant this year to help fund our Hope Bag project for a 3rd year. We were able to make 100 Hope Bags for teens this summer, 50 Hope Bags for Valentine's Day and another 100 Hope Bags are being assembled in early December for younger kids up to age 12, who will need to spend part of their Christmas Holiday in the Hospital. It's very hard to miss a holiday when you're a kid. Our Hope Bags help bring the holiday to the child!
Geodis employees made tie blankets, collected toys, books, craft kits, and hand lotion for each bag. Just Serve is collecting coloring books, markers and crayons, J Shively and friends knitted homemade beanies, and Vagnozzi Family joined the fun donating crazy socks that the kids will loved. Uplander Club sewers are creating fun Holiday Placemats that each child will. receive, and Just Serve is donating homemade bibs for the babies. Special thanks to Janet Brinegar, who lovingly knitted homemade beanie hats for each child, in memory of her son, Justin Brinegar.
Megan's Wings will partner with Just Serve to assemble the bags this year.
We couldn't be more proud to partner with all the volunteers and donors who donated many hours of their time to make homemade items for our Hope Bags. Your talents and love make our hope bags extra special for the kids who receive them. We appreciate you so much! You not only help us bring joy to so many kids each year, but you also help lift each family's spirit knowing you care.
