Colton’s Story: Hope Through Support

Colton looking forward to the next chapter
Colton looking forward to the next chapter

Last March, Colton was diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma. Shortly after his treatment began, his mother was laid off, making an already challenging time even more difficult. As his sole caretaker, she has been tirelessly searching for work while ensuring Colton receives the care he needs. Due to his special needs and inability to drive, he relies on her completely.

When their unemployment benefits ran out, they fell 2.5 months behind on rent. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Megan’s Wings provided $1,200 in rent assistance, helping to stabilize their housing during this critical time. Now, with just two treatments left, Colton is looking forward to brighter days ahead.

His mother shared this heartfelt message with our CEO:"I just wanted to take a moment to thank Megan’s Wings again for your incredible generosity. The $1,200 donation to help with our past-due rent means more than I can express. This journey has been overwhelming, but knowing we have support from people like you and Megan's Wings makes all the difference. Your kindness has lifted a weight off our shoulders, and we are truly grateful."

With heartfelt appreciation,Cyndie

Stories like Colton’s remind us why we do what we do. Your support changes lives. 💙
