2022 Adopt a Family is a Wrap!

Thank you MW's Donors, you were the light our adopted families needed this holiday season!

Thanksgiving and Christmas Deliveries bring many smiles!

Megan's Wings is proud to have adopted 52 families for the holidays in 2022 bringing many smiles, but also hope to families when they know others in their community care and are here to help! 15 families were blessed with Thanksgiving meals or food baskets thanks to WebPT staff in Upland who generously adopted 5 local families for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. MW board member, Jessica Heredia, provided another 10 families with Whole Food turkeys and homemade side dishes, delivering the Thanksgiving meals to families needing hope and cheer.

An additional 42 families where adopted for Christmas in 2022, and we are so grateful to so many faithful businesses and individual donors who, year after year, not only take care of a family for the holidays, but go above and beyond what we expect to make sure these families have everything they need including gifts for their children to open on Christmas morning, grocery support for their Holiday dinner and a gas grant to help get their child to treatment.

Many pediatric oncology families have to cut back work hours to get their child to weekly Dr appts and care for them at home. Buying Christmas presents is a hardship when income has been slashed, and you're already struggling to pay your house payment. Megan's Wings is very proud to work with local businesses, families, and organizations to provide Christmas gifts, and financial support to these families in need. A gas and grocery grant helps offset extra expenses in December, and kids gifts bring smiles and offer hope after a difficult year.

This year, care packages were delivered to many family's homes by our donors and others were shipped directly to the family so parents could help wrap the gifts and be apart of the giving. It takes a small army of donors, volunteers & staff to pull off our AAF program each season. Thank you again for all who participated to help make our families feel extra special this year!
